I’ve been dying for a good breakfast burrito since my Oregon days.

Why should I limit just lunch and dinner into chances to get E. Coli and Salmonella?
Seriously though, I never got why people go so crazy for Chipotle and the other high-end burrito shops. If I had to chose one to go to it would be Moe's. But honestly I'd take Taco Bell over all of them.

A good breakfast burrito is possibly the best breakfast food.

I used to think like you, but I really like Chipotle now. I get a big burrito from them every now and then.

No.
If you were talking about Los Robertos in San Antonio, it would be a different story

While I would love a good breakfast burrito (green chile, please)...from Chipotle, not so much. I mean, it'd be better than a poke in the eye, but just fine.

I’m fortunate enough to have Illegal Pete’s nearby which A: is an order of magnitude better than Chipotle and B: offers an entirely awesome breakfast menu

If you want a good breakfast taco (taco, not burrito) then move to Texas. You'll find them in almost any gas station south of Austin.

I dunno if Chipotle is really “high end,” at least in terms of price. A Chipotle burrito is like $6-7 and is the size of a small baby.
Salmonella/E. Coli aside, it’s better quality food for about the same price as Taco Bell or any other fast food restaurant.
I would totally stop in for a Chipotle breakfast burrito.

I drive past a Chipotle every day on my way to work. If I could stop in for a breakfast burrito, I would probably weigh 400lb within a year.

Just stopped at my local gas station on my way to work. Got two tacos with scrambled eggs, potatoes, refried beans, bacon and cheese... all for $3.
ETA: And fresh, handmade salsa. :)
